Justin Guida, Camp Director
I am proud to announce that Justin Guida will take over as Camp Director after the 2018 camping season. Justin will follow Tom O’Neill who is retiring after 30 successful years of employment at camp, including the last 12 as Camp Director. Justin is also experienced at Golden Slipper Camp, having been an integral member of the senior staff as Assistant Camp Director the past two summers. He has been on staff in since 2001 and is the past recipient of both the Jerome S. Furhman Counselor Spirit Award and David Dabrow Administrative Staff Award.
Justin has a BA in Elementary/Special Education and a MEd in Educational Leadership. He currently holds certification in Pennsylvania for Elementary, Special Education and Middle Level Citizenship Education. He plans to continue as a teacher at the Southwark Elementary School as he transitions into his role as our part-time Camp Director.
Justin will assume full duties as director following the 2018 camp season. These responsibilities include all seasonal staff hiring and management, food service, wellness center, and integration with the administrative and maintenance staff. He will report to the Camp President directly, and Board of Trustees in general, and is looking forward to integrating Camp’s rich history and heritage as it continues providing an excellent residential camping experience based on Jewish values and traditions to deserving children.
